Meet Our Instructors

  • Chief Instructor Tim Busch is an FAA Certified Flight Instructor rated for Single Engine, Instrument, and Glider Instruction. He has been flying since 1980 and has given over 1500 hours of flight instruction. Tim is also the president of the Iowa Aviation Promotion Group. See the IAPG website at www.FlyIowa.org.

  • Cliff Worrell joined IFT in 2005. Cliff is an FAA Certified Flight Instructor rated for Single Engine and Instrument instruction. Cliff is a flying machine. He just can't get enough.

  • Lori Miller joined IFT in 2005. Lori is an FAA Certified Flight Instructor rated for Single Engine and Instrument instruction. I think Lori has more fun than her students!

  • Jim Mosel joined IFT in 2005. Jim is an FAA Certified Flight Instructor rated for Single Engine and Instrument instruction. Jim is "Mr. IFR", teaching many IFR students, and probably has more experience processing TSA paperwork for foreign nationals than the rest of the crew!

  • Keith Williams joined IFT in 2006. Keith is an FAA Certified Flight Instructor rated for Single Engine airplanes. Recently, Keith completed training a Private Pilot student in 39 days! Read about his student's adventure at www.syntheticsaves.com/ift

  • Colin Reed joined IFT in 2008. Colin is an FAA Certified Flight Instructor rated for Single and Multi-Engine airplanes. Colin is just getting started with IFT but has lots of experience teaching and just loves it.

  • Jim McCullough joined IFT in 2008. Jim is an FAA Certified Instrument Ground Instructor Jim will be teaching ground school classes. He recently purchased a beautiful Diamond DA-40 and is having a ball flying it.

    • About Iowa Flight Training

    Iowa Flight Training began operations in 2003 with a Cessna 172 at Vinton.

    In 2005, Iowa Flight Training expanded to the Cedar Rapids airport, at PS Air. In Cedar Rapids, we fly a Piper Warrior and a Piper Archer.

    Our primary mission is to grow General Aviation in Iowa by providing high-quality ground and flight training that is second to none. If we can help your community succeed with a partnership at your airport, give us a call. We can help!

    Currently, we are teaching ground school classes at several airports.
